The in-built worldwide basemap features shaded relief, making navigation easier. You can also add more maps from Garmin’s range of topographic, road and marine maps.

Exporting files and data so that they can be viewed or used later is also a breeze. The GPSMAP 62st also allows for geocaching GPX files, to download geocaches and other details directly to your unit. The GPS unit will store and display all essential information such as terrain, location, hints, difficulty as well as descriptions. All you need to do is upload those GPX files to the GPS unit.
